esprit critique

esprit critique
The critical mind is an intellectual attitude which consists in accepting for no real or real any affirmation or information without examining it carefully by means of reason, without knowing about it and without subjecting it to the proof of the demonstration. It is a form of methodical doubt that refuses all simplistic amalgams, any hasty generalization, all received ideas, all certainties engendered by beliefs or statements without proof.
The Dictionary of Philosophy by Christian Godin gives this definition of the critical mind intellectual disposition and attitude of not admitting anything real or real that was not previously subjected to the test of demonstration or proof a definition close to doubt understood in the sense of the "action of suspending one's judgment until one obtains the truth or the certainty.
Critical thinking, which is often considered a synonym for critical thinking, is only one component. Indeed, the latter requires, in addition to critical thinking, the mastery of critical analysis tools.
With a pejorative sense, a critical mind is the propensity to reveal the flaws of something or someone or the eagerness to criticize. Critical thinking also refers to the person who has this attitude.
