Cameroon is a country in Central Africa characterized by its megadiversity and its cultural, political and ecological hybridity. We are talking about Africa in miniature. It is officially inhabited by about twenty million inhabitants (INS, 2013). The state is unitary and decentralized with 10 regions, 58 departments, 360 arrondissements, 374 communes, 80 chiefdoms and 862 chiefdoms of second degree (MINATD, 2013). 48.5% of the population is rural (INS, 2013), 64.2% work in the primary sector, 26.6% in the tertiary sector and 9.2% in the secondary sector (INS, 2011). The participation rate in the informal sector is 80.6% (INS, 2011).
