Good tear and abrasion resistance. Excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, light and air. Excellent resistance to cold and heat. Very good resistance to dilute and strong acids, but poor resistance to petroleum derivatives.
It has excellent resistance to aging, including when it is exposed to particularly hostile external conditions: water vapour, ultraviolet rays, ozone, saltpetre or extreme climatic conditions.
EPDM retains its properties even when subjected to large temperature variations. This is why it is found in industry worldwide as well as in construction or in applications in the marine environment and more generally outdoors.
Applications: cutting gaskets in contact with water, diluted oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids.
