After having published some thirty novels, including twenty for teenagers, Brigitte Peskine's sculptor formation began in 2004 in a Paris studio. She then joined the associative art of Miellerie in Saint Laurent (Cher). Now she works alone, in her Berry house, mainly using clay from the Baillet de Mehun establishments on Yèvre. He sometimes enamels his pieces but most are weathered, to give the illusion of bronze, wood or stone. She is inspired by great masters such as Rodin, Maillol, Lipchitz, Laurens, Matisse, Henry Moore ... she interprets the main lines. Some works are totally cubist, others retain roundness, but the approach is always to privilege the sketch, simplify, stylize.
